Over the last few months I've been working on making little plush animals. It's still in process, but I'm having fun. A friend named the whale Chad, and he's pretty much my favorite.

Harrisburg Area Crop Walk

Today I volunteered at the Harrisburg Area Crop Walk taking photos. CROP Hunger Walks are community-wide events sponsored by Church World Service and organized by local congregations or groups to raise funds to end hunger at home and around the world. You can see the rest of the set here, or at my facebook page.

New Memories

When I was back in school, a classmate had been working with slides he had found at a yard sale, with he bundled up in small packs and reprinted as negatives in the darkroom. A few months ago for fun I just took a few of my great grandfathers slides and run them though the scanner. Most of them didn’t turn out that great, but these turned out better. I found that I liked the ones that created completely new images, not merely the overlay of two slides.  It’s still a process, of lining up the right slides together, discovering that medium between the light or dark area of one slide, but so far I’m having fun trying to figure it out.
