My intent was a study with primary colors and abstracting the form. Originally I had a set color set with the a value range. Blue were for the dark values, red the mid-tones, and yellow for the lighter values, but when I was getting critiqued in class they mentioned the use of red made the pieces seem super angry. So I switched up the colors (lights/red, blue/mid-tones, yellows/darks), and it made a huge difference in the feeling of the pieces. These three were the last three out of ten I worked on.
